ATI Hosts Successful SuperConference in Orlando, Raising Over $38,000 for Charity

LINTHICUM HEIGHTS, MD – Automotive Training Institute (ATI), the leading coaching and training company for automotive repair shop owners, successfully hosted its 2026 SuperConference at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress from March 18–21. This year’s event brought together independent repair shops, collision centers, and industry partners for four days of impactful learning, networking, and celebration.

Hosted in Orlando, attendees participated in a wide range of engaging activities, including the SuperConference Olympics, expert-led speaker sessions, dynamic roundtable discussions, a comprehensive tradeshow, and the highly anticipated Awards Banquet.

“Seeing our members come together, share ideas, and support one another at this level is what makes SuperConference so special,” said ATI President Joy Garcia. “The energy, collaboration, and commitment to growth we saw in Orlando truly reflect the strength of this community and the impact it continues to have across the industry.”

Across sessions and discussions, several key themes emerged, including ongoing technician shortages, the challenge of maintaining profitability despite strong demand, and the increasing need for shop owners to adopt more structured business and leadership practices.

Attendee and ATI member Kathleen Mohr of Mohr’s Automotive said a session was “awesome” and “shared lots of truths,” a sentiment echoed throughout the event.

The conference featured a strong lineup of speakers, including AI expert Sam Richter, who explored the impact of generative AI on the future of shop operations; bestselling author Mike Michalowicz, who focused on building sustainable financial habits for long-term profitability; and leadership and culture expert Jim Knight, who emphasized the importance of creating high-performing, values-driven teams. Additional sessions reinforced the role of effective communication, influence, and team development in driving business success, highlighting key themes around leadership, financial stability, and adapting to emerging technologies.

Continuing its tradition of giving back, SuperConference attendees raised $38,276 for Wheels of Success, a nonprofit dedicated to helping individuals overcome transportation barriers by providing reliable vehicles and support services, reinforcing the industry’s broader commitment to supporting the communities it serves.

ATI’s SuperConference remains one of the premier events in the automotive aftermarket, reinforcing its commitment to empowering shop owners with the tools, insights, and community they need to succeed.
