Fishing Charter

Pre-Conference All Day Offshore Fishing Charter

Deep-sea fishermen won't have to travel far from the Fernandina Harbor Marina to enjoy some of Florida's best blue water fishing. Numerous fish havens can be found from 8-20 miles offshore of Amelia Island. Here, a variety of manmade and natural reefs attract a variety of striking fish.

Some of the best trolling action begins in early March when large schools of cobia, spanish mackerel, king mackerel, black fin tuna and bonito migrate into offshore waters.

The majority of the charter boats live bait troll with live cigar minnows, spanish sardines, menhaden, mullet and blue runners, rigged to twenty-thirty pound trolling tackle. This style of blue water trolling provides the angler with awesome surface strikes, sometimes only a few yards off from the transom or the trolling boat!

Please meet in front of the hotel at 6:30 a.m. A gourmet boxed lunch, bottled water, and a limited variety/quantity of beer will be provided.

Cost per person: $250

Pre-Conference All Day Inshore Fishing Charter

One of the best fishing opportunities at Amelia Island, comes from the numerous saltwater estuaries, flats and inlets, all offering a wide variety of light-tackle fishing opportunities. Fishing in these secluded waters is excellent year round.

Large schools of redfish can be found on the flooded marsh flats and at low tides at creek mouths and the shallow sides of oyster bars. Sea trout school in fast moving currents at the Nassau Bridge, Shave Bridge, deep river channels and flooded oyster bars. Flounder fishing is excellent during the falling tide at the St. Mary's jetties, creek mouths and the deep sides of oyster bars.

Backwater redfish can weigh up to 30-pounds, sea trout weigh up to 10-pounds and flounder can weigh over the 15-pound mark!

Our backwater fishing guides carry a variety of light tackle on board for our guests, including spin, casting and bottom fishing gear. We carry on board a variety of lures and baits to make your day on the water a memorable experience. However one of the most exciting forms of back-country fishing, is casting a topwater plug to a school of hungry shallow water game fish!

Please meet in front of the hotel at 6:30 a.m. A gourmet boxed lunch, bottled water, and a limited variety/quantity of beer will be provided.

Cost per person: $330
