SuperConference 2015 Optional Activities Guide

ATI Hosted Welcome Dinner: 7:15 p.m.


Instead of dinner on your own, why not kick your SuperConference 2015 experience off with a great start? This dinner will immediately follow the Welcome Reception.

Please note: there are only two restaurants on the hotel property and no other options within walking distance. The Westin will be sold out, so there will be long wait times at the hotel's restaurants during peak dining hours. Space for this event will be limited!

Casino Night


Board one of our luxurious motor coaches and be swept away for an evening full of fun at the Agua Caliente Casino. The casino features slots, table games and a private poker room.

Whether casinos are your thing or not, you’ll want to visit one of their great restaurants. If you enjoy fine dining, be sure to visit The Steakhouse, a Wine Spectator award-winning restaurant. For a more casual setting, you’ll want to visit Waters Cafe or The Grand Palms Buffet.

Enjoy the nightlife at The Lounge or visit Rendezvous for live piano.

Bus service will run continuously from 5:30 pm until 10:00 pm. The casino is a short 7 minutes from the Westin.

Saturday, March 14, 12:45 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Palm Springs Aerial Tramway


The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway is one of the most unique attractions on earth – an engineering marvel featuring the world’s largest rotating tram cars transporting you on an exciting excursion into nature. Your spectacular 10 minute, 2 ½ mile trip begins at Valley Station, elevation 2,643 feet and transports you to the Mountain Station, elevation 8,516 feet. During your ascent you will pass through 5 unique life zones, from the Mexican Sonoran Desert to an Alpine wilderness. Along the way, you’ll observe special plants and animals distinct to each zone. On average, the temperature at the top 30 degrees cooler than it is at the base of the mountain. The average high will be in the 80's, which means the temperature at the peak could be 50 degrees - so please bring a light jacket or sweater.

At the summit discover an incredible scenic wonderland in Mt. San Jacinto State Park encompassing 54 miles of hiking trails, primitive camping grounds, a ranger station, an adventure center, 2 restaurants and a cocktail lounge.

We will have trail guides on hand for anyone that is interested in exploring the terrain. Please note: the hike will be moderately physically demanding and will include steep inclines and declines.

12:45 pm: Assemble in lobby
5:00 pm: Return to hotel

Attire: Comfortable clothing, walking shoes, and sunscreen.
Level of difficulty: Low to moderate

$75.00 per person + $12 if you elect to go on the hike

San Andreas Fault Jeep Tour


This awe-inspiring journey in a "Big Red Jeep" takes you deep into the heart of the San Andreas Fault. Witness the tremendous forces of nature that have created amazing, steep-walled canyons and some of the most twisted and tormented landscapes on earth.

Explore a lush natural palm oasis where you will see water seeping up through the underground aquifer as your expert naturalist guide describes how the Cahuilla Indians used the desert's plants for food, medicine, and shelter. Learn about the life and culture of the Cahuilla Indians as you explore our replica Cahuilla Village situated on a historic Indian site.

Experience the awesome power of nature as you hike through narrow slot canyons created by the collision of the Pacific and North American plates. Learn about earthquakes and the geology of the San Andreas Fault during this fun-filled and educational tour.

5:00 pm: Return to hotel
