ATI Management Consultant/Coaches
Bryan Stasch comes to ATI with 17 years in the automotive repair industry. Working as a highly productive technician, Bryan quickly earned his way into a store manager's position for a national franchise and then to general manager of 10 stores within the same company. These early promotions exposed Bryan to both the financial and staffing sides of the business and rounded and broadened his knowledge and experience.
Needing more and confident in his ability to perform at a high level, Bryan went to work for himself as a partner of an independent repair shop, and ultimately opened a total of three shops.
Stepping away from the successful and profitable operation in the Baltimore suburbs and signing on with Chris Frederick in 2000, Bryan took on the role of chief instructor. In this role became deeply involved in all aspects of development and presentation of the ATI re-engineering program.
With his broad knowledge and experience coupled with his talent as an instructor and public speaker, Bryan has been the primary trainer to Owners and Service Advisors at ATI. Two and a half years ago he took on the further role of Director of Client Fulfillment and in this capacity is directly responsible for all aspects of client training and satisfaction. In this role he oversees fourteen coaches and an administrative staff.
During his tenure there has been a concerted effort to define the coach's role, upgrade training and tools for the coaches, an emphasis on excellence in all areas of endeavor and systems implemented to assure client performance and program satisfaction.
In his many and varied roles, Bryan has been passionate in his pursuit of excellence and brings that to his efforts here at ATI. Working with his Team Leaders and talented staff, he has transformed the department. He is tenacious is the pursuit of excellence with CSI scores and client lift at record levels.
Paul Colison is a home grown Baltimore guy. He started out in the business thirty four years ago
learning to be a motorcycle technician and progressed over the years to Service Manager at one of
Baltimore’s largest multi-line motorcycle dealerships. After a few years he took up the challenge of
managing the service department of a Honda auto dealer. He opened Baltimore’s first Acura dealership.
He has been fully trained in all Honda parts and service and is also fully GM service management trained
as he also invested many years in running the service department of a large GM dealership.
Paul is an ASE Master Tech and parts specialist and has a deep interest in cars, motorcycles, and
management. He has been married to his lovely wife Sharon for over 20 years. He has a unique
sense of humor, a sharp wit, and a great interest in drag racing. His very favorite toys are computers
and he has mastered most of the business software out there from Excel to PageMaker. He is
ATI’s compensation specialist, creating compensation plans that are tailored to the needs of each clients shop.
After serving for nearly five years with the Army’s First Armored Division in Germany as a tank
commander and section sergeant, Brian was discharged and soon entered the automotive
industry. First being hired on as a service manager with Goodyear in suburban Washington D.C.,
within two years he was running a division consisting of eight retail stores and a distribution center.
From there, with extensive management and multi-store experience, Brian was hired to run a large
multi-state parts operation consisting of a distribution center and nine retail stores.
In the past ten years Brian has twice run a large fleet operation comprised of commuter buses,
taxies, limousines and vans. First in the early to mid 90’s and a second stint which ended this year
with his being hired by ATI. In between, Brian ran a large sales territory for a manufacturer of
automotive parts, which covered two states and 9 warehouses. Brian brings a broad knowledge
of both the automotive service and parts industries. He is the father of five and lives with his wife
Martha in Silver Spring, Maryland. His hobbies are hitting the little white ball (golf), surf fishing and the
American Civil War.
At the early age of 8, Geoff Berman began sweeping up the floor at his grandpa Ralph’s small
service center. Continuing a family tradition, Geoff returned to the business as a young adult.
He has worked in the automotive industry now for 16 years. He was instrumental in helping a
small service center grow into a multimillion dollar a year automotive shop, including a body shop,
service center, used car dealership, and towing company. Geoff has taken on many different
positions over the years including dispatcher, estimator, production manager, and body shop manager.
Geoff was a graduate of Vale Tech and has taken an extensive amount of continuing education
classes and seminars. He has been treasurer of the Washington Metropolitan Auto Body Association
as well as a member of the Business Development Group. He recently took the Dale Carnegie Leadership Course.
Searching for a new and different challenge, Geoff began working full time for
ATI in the late fall of 2003. He finds being able to help others through his experiences
and knowledge extremely gratifying. He believes in creating collaborative, supportive
partnerships with shop owners and staff to help them to create the shops of their dreams.
Geoff lives in Elkridge with his growing family - his wife, two adorable girls, and new twins - a boy and a girl! He loves spending time with his kids, playing golf, wood working, and occasionally
having a second or two to relax (sometimes even with his wife!) He firmly believes that open
communication and being an active listener are essential to being an effective member of both his family and ATI
Randy started in the auto industry in the late 70's as a gas station "pump jockey".
Remember when they had "full serve"? He than moved into the shop as an apprentice
to the head mechanic. After roughly 6 years of working at the local neighborhood gas station,
Randy went to work for a Ford dealership where he stayed for 10 years as a Ford certified auto
technician. Wanting to expand further on his automotive skills, Randy became a service writer at a
large Lincoln dealership where he worked for 3 years and won numerous, "Top Advisor Awards".
Still wanting to experience different aspects of the auto industry, Randy worked for Precision Tune of
Maryland for 4 years as the operations Manager for 19 franchises in the state. He then accepted a
offer to be the assistant service manager at a Lincoln, Mercury, Volvo dealership where he was working
when asked to join the ATI team. "I am excited to be part of the ATI team. Helping owners be successful
and accomplishing their dreams is a very rewarding occupation.
Tom Ringle made his way into the Automotive Industry working in a local Dealership in his hometown of
Annapolis, while he was still attending school part time. He has spent the majority of his career
managing in and around GM dealerships and their service and parts operations. He enjoys working
in all aspects of the Automotive Repair business and When afforded the opportunity, he decided to
join the ATI Team. Independent repair shops provide a new challenge and way to help both intermediate
and large shops to realize there true potential. Tom enjoys Drag Racing NASCAR and the Great Outdoors,
and of course the company of his wife and three children.
Businesswoman...mother of two, grew up in the tire and automotive industry in Central Virginia.
The familiy's business was a dominant retailer in their market with seven locations…five tire and
automotive stores, an automotive parts reclamation center and a body shop/used car operation.
Nadine worked in all aspects of the business over the last twelve years. As Vice President, she
was responsible for the entire operational effort of the seven-store chain. Duties included
establishing and achieving sales and profit objectives, marketing and advertising, inventory
control and management, establishing policies and procedures, managing receivables, payables
and cash flow, budgeting and forecasting, and the management and training of all sales and technical personnel.
Her decision to leave the business and join ATI was a difficult one. She knows first-hand the
demands and stress of running a seven-store operation. As a welcome addition to the ATI team,
she will utilize her training and experience to help her clients at ATI become more profitable.
Nadine and her two children have relocated to the Maryland area. She enjoys getting involved
in her children’s active lifestyle, and when not coaching the youths sports teams she enjoys
traveling and relaxing at the beach.
After graduating from the University of Maryland with a degree in Marketing,
George joined the Army where he developed a passion for blowing things up. Now
his passion is building automotive shops and making them more profitable. His 20
years of experience in the automotive field has run the gamut from 4 bay independent
shops, up to 20-bay shops for the large corporations. His ability to train sales advisors,
service managers and store managers has lead to regional and national awards for sales
and improved profit performance. He currently serves on the advisory and scholarship
boards for Lincoln Technical Institute and has been a motivational speaker for many of
their events. His desire to "win", by improving his clients' profitability and long term success,
truly creates a"win/win" situation for clients and their customers. George is married with 2 children.
Steve came to ATI with 20+ years experience in the automotive service
industry. Having management experience in both franchise/independent and
dealer operations, Steve is well rounded in all aspects of successful
profit operations, employee development, and customer service. Steve has
been very successful in his career by taking care of the customer while
maximizing opportunity.
The ability to train, motivate, measure, and
reward is what Steve attributes to his past success. Steve was born and
raised in Baltimore, Maryland and has been married for 14 years to his
boss (wife) Karen. He is also a stepfather to twin sons Jimmy and Ricky.
Steve's hobbies include golfing, cruising, Disney, and most of all
Ravens football.
A "chip off the old block", Kevin was introduced to the automotive industry by his father. At a very young age he was inspired and encouraged by his father, a master technician to learn that the value of life's successes is developed in and through people. Choosing the family trade Kevin's formal instruction and training in basic automotive repair and maintenance soon led to higher aspirations in the automotive industry.
Immediately following high school, Kevin went to work in the automotive industry along side his father. With his goals set, Kevin ventured to direct his attention to assessing the needs for fostering relationships as well as meeting industry standards of high quality. From working at a job to developing a career and from line technician to service advisor to a dealer service manager/director, Kevin's in-depth knowledge of responsibility and commitment to the industry has continued to evolve. His strong leadership and communication skills have proved effective in turning loss to profit, developing proficient employees, problem resolution and raising the standard for customer service and satisfaction.
Kevin brings to ATI 26 years of automotive repair, maintenance, parts, customer service, leadership and administrative skills. He continues to enhance his education by attending training seminars. Kevin has not only pursued the technical areas of expertise of the automotive industry but is a graduate of the Capital Baptist Institute. His studies and personal beliefs equip Kevin to put the needs of others first. The pursuit of building strong relationships with his co-workers and customers ensures the greatest possible environment for excellence in service. With "service" in prospective, he understands that the experience of and quality of the pursuit of life is what teaches us to serve one another: one encounter at a time, one customer at a time.
Kevin is happily married and attributes his successes in part to his wife. They and their two children live in Mount Airy, Maryland. He is an avid believer in family time and enjoys encouraging youth. He is a basketball referee and enjoys playing the game. He also enjoys watching sports and likes to sing.
Over 30 years of experience in the automotive industry beginning as a Retail Sales Manager in the Goodyear Tire Retail Stores Division and most recently as a Quality Management System (QMS) Project Leader in the BMWNA, Eastern Region are only a part of the background and experience which bring Chuck to ATI. Some of his other automotive experience includes 15 years of service, parts and body shop supervision for numerous multi-line import and domestic new car dealerships.
Also, Chuck has acted as a consultant for several new car dealers as an Automotive Profit Builders (APB) "Sales and Service Track" Presenter, been Owner/Operator of an "All Tune & Lube" franchise and Chief Operations Officer for the Barr Leasing and Dealership Management Company in Central New York.
Further, he has successfully participated in many automotive manufacturer programs such as: Chevrolet "Service Supremacy"; Buick "Best in Class"; 1982 President, Chevrolet "Only the Best Club" and General Motors Institute (GMI) Dealer Service College Graduate 1984.
Brian has over 25 years in the tire and automotive industry. He started out of the back of a road service truck, went on to manage independent and franchised stores, opened new stores from the ground up, and eventually became the district manager solely responsible for 8 tire and automotive stores.
Called in as a trouble shooter, Brian is proud of the recognition, awards, and rewards he has received for reviving failing stores and consistently breaking sales records and exceeding expectations. He is known for effectively applying successful, practical methods and systems, rather than theoretical techniques.
An innovative thinker, a ‘shoot from the hip’ sort of man, he tells it likes it is and lets the chips fall where they may. His style has made him very successful in recruiting, training, and motivating quality personnel.
Brian and his lovely lady, Kathy, have four almost grown children leaving them time for enjoying the finer things in life, which for him include waterskiing, shooting, and dancing on Saturday nights.
Rick comes to ATI with 17 years of experience in the business. He has
owned his own shop in Nebraska for those 17 years and has done every job
in the shop except technician. Rick came to ATI as a shop owner a few
years ago and went through the program and has become an absentee shop
owner, having turned the shop over to his daughter and son-in-law.
After ATI helped Rick turn his business around, he decided that he would
like to become a coach and help other shop owners fix their business as
well. Rick knows what it takes to go through the process of "forgiving
misguided belief systems" having had to do that himself and is ready to
help shop owners on their journey.
Rick is married and has 4 children
and a strong belief in God and family.
Dave Durbin, has 30 years of experience in the automotive industry. He started his career as a parts helper in a small dealership, while attending college. He spent 11 years as a service representative for Mitsubishi, 5 as Director of Fixed Operations & an Operations Manager for an auto auction.
Prior to ATI, Dave worked as a consultant who specialized in developing programs for small businesses.
