He has worked in the automotive industry now for 16 years. He was instrumental in helping a small service center grow into a multimillion dollar a year automotive shop, including a body shop, service center, used car dealership, and towing company. Mike Bennett   Mike Bennett
Management Consultant/Coach
mbennett@autotraining.net

Mike Bennett comes to ATI with more than 25 years of experience in the automotive repair industry. As an ASE master technician, Mike has worked in nearly every facet of the industry - working as a general repair technician in a small independent, then as a GM dealer line technician, shop foreman, service manager and, eventually, service/parts director.

In 1999 Mike returned to his roots in the independent repair world, buying the family owned automotive repair business now known as Mike's KARS Inc. which is located in Gettysburg, Pa. Like most successful & passionate technicians, Mike has always had a talent for fixing the "problem child." Mike's KARS Inc. quickly became a success as the area's go-to shop for accurate and dependable repair. However, like most great technicians who end up owning a shop, Mike had little formal training on how to run a successful business or turn an acceptable profit in the "independent" world.

Applying the same passion for excellence to owning & managing a shop that has fueled his success as a technician, Mike has gone on to graduate several business management training programs including the Automotive Training Institute. As an ATI alumnus, Mike has also gained a greater passion for sharing his experience, knowledge and expertise with other shop owners and industries, regularly speaking at local B&I groups, Business Development groups and trade/vocational events. Mike still owns and operates the repair business, but daily operations are now handled by his wife and their very capable staff.

As a coach, Mike brings a unique skill set to ATI. As a technician, current shop owner and ATI graduate, Mike has a perspective of a shared common experience with his ATI client/partners. Mike firmly believes that your success as a shop owner comes not from just working the "longer-harder" plan, but from education, training and a successful partnership with a coach & organization that truly has the tools to put its clients in control of, and on the path to, prosperity, success, independence & happiness in business and in life.

Mike still resides in Gettysburg Pa. with Shelle, his wife of more than 25 years. They have two daughters: Jessica and Nicole. In his spare time, Mike enjoys following his daughter's sports careers, which has included attending 93 of Jessica's 94 collegiate soccer games and as crew chief for Nicole's still active seven year career as a NHRA Jr. Dragster drag racer. He also enjoys restoring WWII Jeeps and military vehicles with his father, Jerry.

Neal Price   Neal Price
Management Consultant/Coach
nprice@autotraining.net

I started my career working for an auto parts distributor when I was 16 to save enough money to buy a friend's GTO. My dad having a history with NASCAR in the 50's passed the racing gene down to me and my brother. I left home at 17 to join the United States Air Force as a Special Mission Crew chief and squad leader. My Air Force career proved fruitful as I received several letters of accommodation and an outstanding unit citation. While in the Air Force, I worked for a local auto parts store near base and continued to restore my 66 GTO that I would race on one of the deserted air strips designated for the auto shop, lots of fun, but tough on tires. After fulfilling my obligation, I left with an honorable discharge as a Vietnam era veteran and joined the Maryland Air National Guard as a weekend warrior. My first job out of the military was in the parts department of a local GM dealership. What I didn't know at that time was that this would be the beginning of a 30+ year career moving through the fixed and variable operations in several of the largest dealerships in the Baltimore-Washington metro area.

My path started in parts and after a few years led to the service department, then a service writer position. I moved back into parts as a parts manager then later to assistant service manager. An opportunity came to try my hand at sales so I took the leap of faith and put on the coat and tie. A rude awakening it was, but the rewards were too great and by this time I was raising a young family and wanted nothing but the best for them. I was promoted rapidly through the system to Sales manager, General sales manager, Finance manager and Director until I became the General Manager for the second largest GM store in the metro area. I remained a GM for two more multi dealer locations until I decided to punch my card in 2007 and do something different.

I am a married father of two wonderful children; my son is a 2010 Graduate of Johnson & Wales Culinary University and a beautiful daughter who blessed us with a granddaughter just 3 days shy of my birthday in 2008. I have an avid enjoyment of rebuilding classic muscle-cars, traveling internationally with my wife, working in the yard and spending quiet time at the beach with my lab, "Reese".

I am fortunate and happy to be a part of the ATI team. The coach position allows me to utilize my 30 plus years of experience to help my clients achieve the goals they have for their businesses and leave a legacy for their families.
